Confluence data export and the exit terms of other docs tools
Updated
A knowledge base can only be licensed by a company that still holds a full copy, and each docs tool writes its own rules on what happens to the pages at the end.
Exporting a Confluence space
Atlassian's documentation says you can export all or part of a Confluence space to various formats, including Microsoft Word, HTML, PDF and XML, and describes XML space exports that can be imported into another Confluence space of the same or a newer version.

Tools that leave it to you
Slab says you alone are responsible for exporting content before your account ends, and Slite owes no duty to keep or provide anything once an account is terminated. Document360's agreement says the customer has no access to its data after termination.
